Across the Outer Cape, concerned citizens are being heard, and towns are moving ahead on multiple projects. The crisis is here, but it is now beginning to be addressed.
But with each step forward, more misinformation and increasingly desperate scare tactics appear as well. Wellfleet has not escaped the ugly trend in America where rational discourse, science-based solutions, and trust in our institutions have become suspect.
